A commissioned painting is a timeless heirloom. It can catch the story and memories of something very special. The process is exciting and enjoyable for both the artist and the buyer. My passion is bringing something special to life, to prolong, so it will live on, on canvas. The end result is a work of art which combines your original vision for the piece with the artist's unique style and execution.

Meanwhile, here are some FAQs
I’m interested in commissioning a painting, but have no idea where to start. Any advice? If you are new to buying or collecting original art, you are not alone! It can be intimidating, especially if you’re not sure exactly what you want, like, or dislike. If you are reading this right now, hopefully that means you have seen my work and know you want something similar to my style and aesthetic. I am happy to offer a free consultation, in person or over the phone, to discuss making your idea come to life. I recommend that you be prepared to answer these questions:
1) What is the painting of?
2) What is the occasion of commissioning this painting?
3) How big would you like the piece to be, and do you know where it will hang? (This is important for determining size that you are looking for)
4) What will the desired setting be? (e.g. spring, fall, winter, summer)
5) What is your budget? (Please check my pricing below)
6) When do you need it finished?
I want to commission a painting as a surprise. How can I go about this? I recommend discussing the painting with the person you plan on giving it to so that they will absolutely love it when it’s finished! Perhaps you can “surprise” them beforehand with a greeting card representing my work (I have these in stock) or a gift certificate (I can make one for you) and describing the painting we will create specially for them. Usually the person receiving the art appreciates being involved in the creative process. Of course, we can certainly make it a surprise and I will work closely with you to make sure it meets your expectations from start to finish.
I'm not local to Rushford, NY but love your work. Can I just send you a photo to work from, usually yes! It mostly depends on the quality of your photo. So if you're unsure you can just email me a copy of your photo and I can let you know how possible it is.
What is your pricing? There is a chart below of general prices and sizes and are all approximated. Prices will be discussed further in detail when we talk about what size you need. Fees are for the artwork only and do not include, state sales tax or shipping.
Can I pay by credit card, or make monthly installments? I accept cash, Visa or Mastercard, Paypal, Venmo, or personal check. I can also offer monthly payment plans to fit any budget, but you will not receive the painting until paid in full.
Do you require a contract? Yes. At the sitting/ meeting, I have my clients sign a standard portrait commission contract and submit a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total agreed-upon fee.
What is your commission process? Once we’ve had an in-depth consultation over email or phone and we both have a clear vision for the painting, we can move forward with writing out the contract and making it official! Once the deposit has been paid I can prep my canvas and get to painting on your desired photograph, usually using acrylic paints. If desired, I can email you pictures of my progress. I will continue to work closely with you in order to create a piece that is beautiful, original and true to the original subject!
How long does it take to finish a painting? Commissioned pictures generally take 3-6 months to complete depending on their complexity, once in a while it may take a little longer. If you are local, you can come to see the finished painting in person. Otherwise, I will email a digital photo to my client to confirm the completion of the painting. The remainder of the painting fee is due upon delivery. If desired, I can ship at cost.
